Using Essential Oils to Fade Sunspots

Sun spots can be very inconvenient at times. How do you know that you have it? You may see really dark spots on your skin or really light spots on your skin. It looks like your skin is unbalanced if you have these sun spots. There is help though! There are many essential oils that can help to bring your skin back to the balanced look you remember. Here are some of the best oils to use to help you to fade your sunspots.

LEMON OIL

Lemons have the ability to be a great bleaching agent. Lemon oil is one of the most potent that you can use for sun spots. The chemicals in lemons help to balance out the skin too. That is why it works so well on sun spots. One of the concerns with lemon oil and other citrus oils is that it does make your skin overly sensitive to the UV rays of the sun. If you do apply it to your skin, it is important to not get in direct sunlight for at least 12 hours afterwards. You can add lemon oil to your lotion or creams and apply it to your sun spots at night. Let it work its magic while you sleep.

CARROT SEED OIL

Carrots contain quite a lot of beta carotene. This is what gives the carrots the orange color that we see. This beta carotene is also a wonderful mineral to help balance out the color of the skin. Carrot seed oil can actually help your skin to produce melanin which you need in your skin to keep the balanced color. By applying carrot seed oil with a carrier oil, apply directly to the sun spots that you wish to fade. You will begin to see some results very quickly.

 SANDALWOOD OIL

Sandalwood oil has been used for thousands of years to help to cure skin infections and help scars to fade away. It can also help your skin spots to disappear. Sandalwood is also great at helping to get rashes to disappear along with acne and sun spots. Mixed with a carrier oil such as argan oil, you can apply your mixture directly onto your skin. This mixture will need to be applied two to three times a day. You will start to see results very quickly.

BERGAMOT OIL

Another citrus oil, bergamot comes from the bergamot orange and many say that it tastes and smells like a lemon. Bergamot oil has antiseptic and astringent properties that are very helpful for your skin. Bergamot is wonderful for helping to clean the skin and help you from getting acne because of bacteria on your face. It is an oil that is great for healing and regenerating your skin cells. If you add bergamot with jojoba oil and apply this mixture to your skin, you will be able to get rid of those pesky sun spots.

When you are taking care of your skin, make sure to use carrier oils if you are applying oils to your body. Using these oils can help you to get rid of those awful sun spots in no time at all.
